MSI is showing off its first gaming console at CES 2024 today . According to MSI, the Intel Core Ultra-powered Claw A1M is the world's first handheld with an Intel processor. Until last year, handheld gaming on PC was dominated by Valve's Steam Deck. While there are plenty of other handhelds available, most of them made by Chinese or Taiwanese companies, it was Valve's Steam Base that pushed handheld PC gaming into the mainstream. Then Asus came out with the Rog Ally , which promised better performance and hardware at a higher price, and Lenovo came out with the Legion Go . Now it's MSI stepping into the ring with the Claw A1M. It is powered by an Intel Core Ultra processor, while handheld devices from Asus, Lenovo and Valve are powered by AMD Zen processors.
