FIRST, PLEASE IF YOU ARE UPSET ABOUT HOW YOUR WORK LIFE/HOME LIFE BALANCE IS BEING EFFECTED, PLEASE GET THIS BLOG OUT FOR ALL OUR CO-WORKERS TO SPEAK OUT----THIS IS THE ONLY VOICE LEFT FOR ALL OF US TO A LEAST VOICE OUR CONCERNS ABOUT HOW MANAGEMENT CONSIDERED ALL TSSA EMPLOYEES WHEN THE LOCATION WAS DECIDED.
I have not been with the corporation for a long period of time, but in the time I have been here, there has been no discussion with staff about the move, but I went to a town hall, and heard management saying they had decided on the new location for recommendation to our board of directors. When I joined there was no mention of a move and I did not take any transportation survey, being here under a year. But I know since I have been hired there have been many employees after me that would not have been part of the survey mentioned.
I will now have to consider driving, more traffic on high volume highways, weather issues (would take public transit, if it was not so remote to get to), cleaning off vehicle. I can take one bus into Islington all the time and importantly during bad weather. This will be missed.
OUR WE REALLY A SAFETY ORGANIZATION ANYMORE, WHO ARE WE LOOKING OUT FOR, ASKING STAKEHOLDERS AND EMPLOYEES TO PUT MORE RISK TO ATTEND OUR NEW LOCATION!!
