Albanian General Piro Ahmetaj has reacted to the accusations of the Greek media regarding an analysis that he had published a few days ago. Ahmetaj explained why Greece should not be allowed to build a military base on the island of Othonoi, in front of Albanian waters. Meanwhile, the Greek media have interpreted this article as a provocation by the Albanian general. In his reaction, the general emphasizes that he does not believe that it is true that Greece is planning an increased military presence on a small island (with 400 inhabitants) facing a friendly country and NATO members, so he asks that his opinion not be there are "patriotic - nationalist" interpretations in the Greek media.
